Types of Bosch Dishwashers

They offer different types of dishwashers, including freestanding, built-in, compact and slim-line. They also offer several features in their dishwashers, such as Activewater technology, which uses less water (7L instead of the usual 50L) and less energy for an increased performance; and Green Technology, which highlights their energy efficiency (all Bosch dishwashers are Class A) and use of recycled materials wherever possible.

They have a selection of compact dishwashers for people who have very little space in their kitchens. They can sit on work surfaces to save room. These dishwashers (SKS60E) have a capacity for 6 place settings and measure 45cm high x 55cm wide x 50 cm deep. They come in a choice of white, black, red, yellow or silver and have 5 or 6 programs including a quick wash. They also have a built-in compact version (SCE63M) with 8 programs. Even though they are smaller these dishwashers are not cheaper. They sell for around £370.

They have around 9 slim-line models to choose from. These all measure 85cm high x 45cm wide x 60cm deep and are ideal for people who have a restricted space in which to install a dishwasher. Most of them have a capacity of 9 place settings, and have such features as a height-adjustable top basket, childproof lock, time delay, and 4 or 5 programs. They come in a selection of silver, black or white. There is also a built-in model. Prices of these vary from around £300 up to £500 depending on the model and retailer.

Sizes of Bosch Dishwashers

They also have standard size dishwashers measuring the usual 60cm wide. The Logixx (or SMS69L) has a capacity of 14 settings, 6 programs including a quick wash, time delay and childproof lock. It also has a feature call a VarioDrawer, which consists of a third basket that can be used to replace the cutlery basket and takes cutlery and small cups, freeing up room in the other drawer, and the Rackmatic feature which allows the top drawer height to be adjusted when the machine is loaded. They also have the Exxcel (SMS65E) and Advantixx (SMS40A) ranges which have capacities of 12 or 13 settings and a lot of the same features as the Logixx, without the VarioDrawer, and the Classixx which is a more basic version. These four ranges also come in built-in versions as well. All of these ranges, except the Classixx, have an Aquasensor feature that detects the level of dirt in the water and adjusts the temperature and water usage accordingly. The prices of the standard or built-in dishwashers can range from £300 up to £700.
